The 2026 Acura MDX Overview

Every 2026 Acura MDX starts with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, working through a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift paddle shifters. Variable Cylinder Management™ and i-VTEC® technology help balance power with efficiency. Front-wheel drive is standard, while SH-AWD® (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™) is available for added grip and control.

Beyond the powertrain, the 2026 Acura MDX comes standard with an Integrated Dynamics System that lets you tailor the drive through selectable modes, and Agile Handling Assist® sharpens cornering for a more connected feel. When properly equipped, it can also tow up to 5,000 lbs. If you want maximum performance, the Acura MDX Type S Advance upgrades to a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 producing 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.
