Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Criteria

Acura Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, also known as Precision Certified vehicles, are pre-owned models from 2021 to 2026 with less than 80,000 miles. They must pass a meticulous 182-point inspection to ensure that these vehicles meet the brand’s high standards. Pre-owned EVs from 2024 to now that pass a 167-point inspection and have less than 80,000 miles are known as Precision Certified EV vehicles. Pre-owned models dated as early as 2016 can qualify for the Precision Used program. There’s no mileage limit to these models, but they must pass an 112-point inspection.

Limited Warranty

Each of these vehicles come with comprehensive coverage that protects you against defects from the vehicle’s original parts and workmanship. Their coverage plans include:

  • Precision Certified: seven-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Coverage, two-year/100,000-mile Non-Powertrain Coverage
  • Precision Certified EV: eight-year/100,000-mile High Voltage Battery Coverage, two-year/100,000-mile Limited Warranty Coverage
  • Precision Used: six-month/10,000-mile Powertrain Coverage, six-month/10,000-mile Non-Powertrain Coverage

Acura Roadside Assistance

As an added benefit, Precision Certified vehicles are also covered with 24/7 Roadside Assistance for up to two years or 100,000 miles. Its many services include fuel delivery, battery jumpstart assistance, lockout assistance, flat tire change assistance, and emergency towing. Precision Used vehicles include the same services for up to one year or 12,000 miles. Precision Certified EV vehicles also include emergency towing for up to two years or 100,000 miles.
